The Defra approved Charnwood Skye 7 is a stylish contemporary wide screen multi fuel stove with a 7kW nominal output and an impressive 5 to 11kW heat range which will make it the ideal choice for medium to large sized rooms and spaces. It’s minimal simple styling will also allow it to work well in virtually any type of interior from modern to traditional whether it’s in a fireplace or freestanding. There are two Skye 7 models – the low plinth version and the 149mm taller store stand version. The Skye 7 has an A+ efficiency of 80% when burning wood and 81% when burning approved smokeless coal.

The all-British Skye 7 incorporates the highest construction standards and the very best materials. Inside the Skye 7’s fire chamber is a cast ion converting fire grate with a separate ash pan. This can be quickly switched from closed to create the ideal flat bed for wood burning and opened to allow combustion air through when burning smokeless coal. It can also be externally ridded to remove ash and keep the air flowing from underneath the fuel which is vital for efficient coal burning. The full width door and cool touch handle makes handling logs of up to 410mm (16”) long really easy, especially when refuelling. The Skye 7 meets building regulations requirements for installation on a 12mm non-combustible decorative hearth and has a space-saving vertical rear flue adaptor. The Skye 7’s optional rear heat shield reduces the safe distances to combustible materials to just 100mm providing twin wall connecting flue pipe is also used. As a 7kW stove the Skye 7 must be installed with the appropriate dedicated air vent to ensure safe and effective operation or alternatively the optional external air manifold can be used. Taking the combustion air from the outside will also help to eliminate the cold draughts typically associated with air vents.
