Dunsley Avance 400 Wood Burning Stove

The Avance 400 is the latest wood burning stove from Yorkshire's Dunsley Heat and it has a 5.0kW nominal heat output with an impressive A+ rated efficiency of 82.4%. It is officially listed as a Defra smoke exempt appliance to allow you to legally burn seasoned wood in a smoke control area. It's also certified with the top Level 5 rating in the independent ClearSkies emissions and efficiency quality mark. Dunsley also provide an optional retro-fit multi fuel grate should you ever wish to burn smokeless mineral fuel and a handy bolt-on log store option which will add a further 325mm to the overall height bringing the Avance 400 to an impressive 915mm high. You also get a choice of five additional colours including Charcoal Grey.

Compact design and popular 5kW heat output

The design tone and large window are based on the Dunsley's handsome best-selling Avance 500 and although the 400 and 500 both offer you nominal heat outputs of 5.0kW they have significantly different proportions and sizes. In fact you could say that the 400 is the compact version of the 500 as it's some 170mm narrower and 40mm shorter which will make it a popular choice for smaller fireplace openings. Its neutral contemporary looks will ensure that it will also work equally well with a wide range of fireplace or interior styles. Its base is fully adjustable should the hearth be uneven.

Single control for easy operation

The Avance 400's single control provides fast response from high to low burn as well as ensuring that it's always easy to find the ideal setting for maximum comfort and fuel economy. With a practical heat output range from 3.5kW up to 7.0kW (depending on the fuel load) the Avance 400 will deliver plenty of heat for the average to medium sized living space even on the coldest days. It has direct external air supply capability when the optional air kit is specified. Dunsley are renowned for their 'belt and braces' high grade steel plate bodywork and premium cast iron doors and the Avance is no exception. This is a first class British designed and engineered stove that's built to be around for a lot longer than its ten year manufacturer's warranty. It's therefore very easy for us to whole-heartedly recommend this stove – when all's said and done, it's a Dunsley after all.
